Information about Mycostatin Uni Baby Ointment

Composition:
Each gram of ointment contains: Nystatin 100.000 IU + Zinc Oxide 200 mg.
Excipients: Mineral oil, White Petrolatum, Perfume, Citrus Blossom Oil.
Uses:
It combines an anti-fungal agent (antifungal) with zinc oxide.
Skin lesions that have been caused primarily by mechanical irritation that can later become infected with bacteria and fungi. The active ingredient Nystatin is used for the prevention and treatment of yeast infections of the skin (e.g. Candida albicans).
The active substance Zinc Oxide is suitable for the treatment of inflammatory and moisture in the skin with or without bacterial infection.
The drug is used for:
• Inflammation of the skin and mucous membranes.
• Conditional vulnerability by mechanical stimulation.
• Red, itchy and burning Spots in the body folds, buttocks, chest area and between the thighs, such as diaper rash.
Contraindications:
The drug should not be used:
If you are allergic to nystatin and zinc oxide or other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and Precautions:
If hypersensitivity occurs, the drug should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
Note for use in the genital or rectal area:
The simultaneous use of medicinal ointment with nystatin and condoms may reduce the tensile strength and therefore, compromise the safety of condoms.
Pregnancy and lactation:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you suspect you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.

Side effects:
If severe skin reactions occur, the drug should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

Rarely: Skin Rash, Itching.
Diseases of the immune system:
Rarely: allergic reactions to the components of the medicinal ointment.

Dosage and administration:

The recommended dose is:
The drug is applied alone - up to several times a day on the affected skin.
Duration of use:
Treatment should be continued for several more days after complete healing.
